When I gave birth to my first kid, I was blown away by how pretty she was. Nevertheless, after looking at myself in a mirror I was not so happy. My stomach was stretched out and sagging. I had no tone in my abdominal muscles. By far the worst thing though was the food I ate while I was pregnant stayed on my thighs and hips. I knew that if I did not get motivated to be fit right away I would hate my appearance at my daughters first birthday.
I had read a lot about how post natal fitness was important. It offered so many benefits to new mums. It helped drop leftover weight from pregnancy, built strength and increased energy levels. It also was known to help ward off postpartum depression.
While I started off breast-feeding my child I did it for her health, then I realized it had many benefits for me. When I recognized I was giving my daughter her source of nutrition, I started eating better. It also burned off many calories. Between both of those things, I started losing some of the weight I gained when I was pregnant.
Since a large portion of your body’s fluids is passed out through the breast milk, I started to drink a bit more water than normal. This also helped give my weight loss a boost. However, I knew that there was more I had to do to return the shape of my thighs and hips. Because the doctor forbade me from a hard workout, I started to walk because it is a low impact exercise. Regular strollers cannot handle jogging, so I started to look for strollers that would.
After looking at all my options, I finally found a baby jogger pushchair that I liked. Once I had my stroller, I started taking my daughter to the nearby lake so we could walk the path that circled it. It gave us a chance to get outside and get fresh air while I slowly returned my body to its pre-pregnancy shape.
As soon as I got the ok from my doctor that I could exercise normally, we picked up the pace. At first, I was worried that the stroller could not handle me running. However, it gave us both a smooth ride and an enjoyable time together.
It wasn’t long until I started noticing other moms walking the lake with their kids in their baby jogger pushchairs. Apparently, I was not the only mom with the idea. It worked out good for all of us because the children loved riding and got to not only work out, but also talk to others in the same situation.
Once the pounds started to leave, I made sure to do some strength training to help with my tone. It was not long until my flabby stomach began to thin and tighten. Today I look even better than I did before I got pregnant.
Of all the many different fitness products I have bought over the many years, my jogging stroller is by far my favorite. What other product out there can combine a workout and spending time with your child? Even now that she is older, we still follow the same routine and go off to have a good time.
If you like walking or jogging before you got pregnant it is a great way return you body to the shape you want it. A jogging stroller is made to make it a comfortable ride for your kid while you are in the middle of jogging. While the jogging stroller may cost more than a normal stroller may, the time spent with your child and the work out received makes it more than worth it. Just imagine yourself jogging along with your baby in the carriage riding comfortable and quietly while you tone and shape your body.
