Furthermore, a majority of these households receiving homecare include the elderly and the disabled.</p>
<p>Home hazards are one of the main causes of falls for over 65 year olds. These hazards include tripping up over objects and falling down the stairs.</p>
<p>Handrails and handgrabs often prevent home hazards from happening. The patient is able to hold onto the handrail whilst climbing up or down the stairs which helps avoid falls. This type of equipment is also often fitted in bathrooms where slippery surfaces can also cause falls.</p>
<p>If the patient has trouble walking, a chairlift will help minimise the possibility of them being victim of a home hazard that can quite often lead to fractured bones. <p>Start the hanging leg raise by grasping the chin up bar and hanging. Be sure to keep your hands shoulder width apart. To begin the exercise, slowly raise you knees up above your waist. Try to touch your chest with your knees. Once you complete the repetition, lower your feet so that you are back in the starting position.</p>
<p>The next exercise to use a full range of motion is similar to ab exercises you may be familiar with. Begin in a lying position on the floor with your body stretched out. Clasp your hands behind your head and raise your torso, touching your left elbow to your right knee. Be sure to raise your right knee to meet your elbow half way through the motion. Repeat the motion with your right elbow, raising your left knee to meet your elbow. This works your abdominal muscles effectively and reshapes your muscles.</p>
<p>Hanging leg raises and crunches that incorporate a full range of motion are the best exercises for strong abdominal muscles. I&#8217;ve personally used both of these exercises to reshape my midsection and tone my ab muscles. They work because your muscles of their ability to target deep within your abs. By combining these exercises with a proper diet, you can quickly improve the look of your abs.</p>

There are a number of ways to reduce fat and reveal your midsection. In this article I&#8217;ll share the specific techniques that have worked for me and can work for you too. <p>Improve the look and feel of your abdominal muscles using the right techniques. Achieving the perfect set of abs can be a real chore if you&#8217;re not sure how to achieve the look you desire. But extensive research as well as trial and error have produced specific techniques that can deliver the results you want.</p>
<p>To get a strong set of abdominal muscles, you need to work them almost daily. Ab muscles, unlike larger muscle groups, recover quickly. This means that you can exercise them daily and continually strengthen them. To be most effective I recommend working the lower ab muscles first followed by the upper abs which tire less quickly. Using a full range of motion can have the most beneficial impact on shaping your abdominal muscles.</p>
<p>Doing abdominal crunches is a great way to start working your upper abs. With a strong set of upper abdominal muscles you can place more emphasis on your lower abdominal muscles over time. Crunches are best done while lying on the floor and raising your legs so your calves are at a ninety degree angle towards the floor. Said another way, bend your knees half way towards your chest. Begin the exercise by clasping your hands behind your neck and raise your torso upward with each repetition. Complete your first set of ten reps and try to work up to a total of three sets of ten.</p>
<p>One of my favorite exercises is the hanging leg raise. It&#8217;s easy to build abdominal muscles when you are using a full range of motion. This exercise is simple to learn and uses both your upper and lower abdominal muscles. Begin by hanging from a bar or door frame with adequate clearance so your feet are off the ground. Very slowly raise your knees to your chest and pause for one second. Then slowly lower your legs back to the starting position. It may take some time for you to do ten repetitions. Once you accomplish that goal, slowly build up to three sets of ten.</p>
<p>By focusing on exercises like crunches and hanging leg raises, you&#8217;re building your abdominal muscles. These muscles are required for having what is commonly referred to as a six pack. The next step is to reduce excess abdominal fat through aerobic exercise. The best way to do this is with an activity like running or jogging. You can also cycle or swim but most people find jogging to be the easiest. By reducing your body fat percentage, you&#8217;ll peel away the excess fat around your midsection and show off your abdominal muscles.</p>
<p>Improving your abdominal muscles takes a combination of the right exercises and a proper diet. Diet is often a contributing factor to lean muscle mass so be sure to drink plenty of water and consume adequate amounts of protein. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Not everyone is a personal trainer or dietitian. I have not always known how to lose weight properly. All it takes to learn is a little determination. What follows are some truths about weight loss that everyone should know.</p>
<p>The tried and true rule of fat loss is that you must consume fewer calories than you burn. Don&#8217;t forget that exercise is also an integral part of the equation. While a healthy diet has the most impact on your weight loss, exercise is still important. Here I&#8217;ll be discussing some things on how to improve your diet.</p>
<p>A lot of things can be eaten, that doesn&#8217;t mean that they should. Bark, dirt, and poison can be eaten, but none are considered food. I also don&#8217;t consider junk food as food. Here are some things to keep in mind when trying to lose weight.</p>
<p>What exactly is the benefit of eating a donut? Where is the nutritional purpose in eating donuts when all they consist of is flour and sugar? Oh yeah, and it&#8217;s deep fat fried. The thing that makes it worse than just its ingredients it that it is usually the only thing eaten for breakfast.</p>
<p>Soda, filled with nothing but water and sugar, is another staple that needs to go the way of the dinosaurs. Diet soda, with it&#8217;s chemicals, is not a better choice. There is really no reason to drink any kind of soda.</p>
<p>There is no french fry or potato chip worth eating, anywhere. They are simply too high in fat and sodium. Don&#8217;t forget about what they do to your blood sugar.</p>
<p>With all this talk about what you shouldn&#8217;t eat, let&#8217;s talk about what you should. a good choice is to make sure that you have include fiber and protein in every meal or snack. Chick and fish are great for your protein, while fruits and/or vegetable are great for fiber. For pasta, bagels, and bread, make sure that the package says on it &#8220;whole wheat.&#8221;</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t forget that when you eat is also important. Three hours is a good time span in between meals. Dinner needs to be a small to medium sized meal; not a big meal. Don&#8217;t make a drastic change in your calorie count, as eating around 1600 to 2200 calories is a good range.</p>
<p>Even though most weight loss comes from a proper diet, you still need exercise to compliment it. The more you like the workout, the more likely you&#8217;ll continue with it. Whatever you decide to do, it must be strenuous enough for you to break a sweat and difficult enough for you to have a conversation. First talk to your doctor before starting your program, and then get those muscles moving! Get to it!</p>
